Just Create! Music Studio provides an extraordinarily well-rounded music education. We consistently improvise and compose, and get hands-on with chords (just like all those bands on Spotify!)
Modeled after the way we learn language, Just Create! immerses students in playing real music with both hands from day one. Just like when we first learned to talk, we don’t begin with books. We play the piano!
Music is made of patterns. Students quickly, easily learn lots of songs using music’s natural patterns. Videos help learners remember those patterns at home. Students gain physical ease and familiarity with the piano. This hands-on approach also helps music-reading feel much more natural.
With this approach, anyone can learn to play the piano. Over many years, I’ve developed songs and strategies that work for even the most reluctant musicians. The songs sound amazing — folk, pop, lead sheets, jazz & blues, classical, expressive pieces — we play it all!
Even preschoolers can play real music right away!
Experienced musicians gain new clarity and perspective — a new way of thinking about music. Theory becomes logical patterns. Passages that once felt difficult now feel simple and approachable.

I choose music individually for each student. No single piano method series fits every student at every life-stage.
I’m well-versed in every commonly used piano method and many excellent less-known alternatives. Many can be highly effective when matched with the right student. Alone, none are sufficient to grow a fully creative and well-rounded musician.

Just Create! students become fluent music readers and creative, independent musicians. Of course, like any music lessons, fully reaching these goals takes a few years. Our approach makes that journey rich and satisfying.
